The reason I chose this title for my blog is because I was on the internet looking up quotes about "true beauty" and two quotes came up that really caught my attention. One said, "Should you shield the canyons from the windstorms, you would never see the true beauty of their carvings." The other said, "People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
To me, teenage girls are like canyons and stained glass windows. It's the experiences in life that carve out our true beauty, not how thin we can be, or how much makeup we apply. And in order to see our true beauty, we have to have a good character shining out from inside us.
